Heating Cables

Manufactured from isolated resistive alloy polymers with high resistance to temperature, weathering and chemical attack. They are used in pipes with circulating fluids in petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries; manufacturing of cold rooms doors and refrigerators. They are also used in radiant heating floors of residential environments among other applications.

Mounted Variable Power

Conductor: Bare or tinned electrolytic copper wires, soft quenching.
Stranding: class 4
Insultation: Thermoplastic compound of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) for 70°C or Reticulated silicone rubber for 200°C or 300°C
Connection cable length: manufactured according to the customer´s needs

Mounted Heat Cables - Panresistor RE S e RE SV 200ºC

They are used to defrost cold room drains and to maintain constant tempertature of electric panels.

A- Heating Cables CA-S - Hot Part
- Power: 10,15,20,25,30 and 40 W/m.
- Voltage: 127V or 220V
Materials
- Cable made of resistances in parallel insulated with silicone 200°C.
- Conductors: 2 consuctors of tinned electrolytic copper wire, soft quenching. Strading class 5.
- Condutors isulation: Silicone 200°C. Ceramic color.
- Dimensions: 5,55x 7,5 mm
- External braid: Braid of glass fiber wiress - CA SV, metallic braid - CA SB or metallic braid covered with silicone - CA SBS (when specified).

Construction Data:
Example : to heat a surface there is a space to accommodate 40m of resistor. 1000W is required to heat and it must operate at 220V. How to specify?
- W/m needed = 1000W/40m, W/m = 25
- Resistance required = (220x220)/1000W = 48.4 ohms
- Per meter= 48.4/40m=1.21 ohms
- The closest on the table is 1.35 ohms/m
- A resistance of 1.35 ohms/m is recommended and it can be cut into pieces 40m.

Observations:
• If W/m are high, increase the length of the resistor or put them in parallel to reduce individual power. Example: A resistor of 2000W may be replaced by 2 of 1000W.
• Amendments to the terminals should provide a perfect electrical contact.
• The design and implementation of the resistor must have the supervision of an electrical engineer.

Constant Power

Cables formed by resistors placed in parallel insulated with silicone 200 ºC.
1- Conductors: 2 conductors of copper tinned electrolytic wire, annealed, stranding Class 5.
2- Insulation of conductors: Silicone 200 °C. Ceramic color
3- Spiral: of resistive wire Nikrothal 80*
4- Coverage: Silicone 200 °C. Transparent color
Dimensions: 5,55 x7, 5mm.
External Braid: glass fiber strands braid - CA SV, metal braid -CA SB or metallic braid covered with silicone - CA SBS (when specified).

Power:
10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 40 W/m. The power per meter remains constant regardless of the length used.

Voltage:
127V or 220V

Connection Mode:
The electrical connection must be done in two conductors of the same end.
The other end of the conductors should be separated and isolated.
Depending on where the incision was made, there will be a cold zone up to the inner point of connection of the resistive wire. This area can be up to 60cm length.

Project:
Each user will cut the resistor according to their project, considering the maximum length of use. For longer lengths, a new connection to the power grid is required.
